GG for returning to the studio Covid19

Government guidelines for return to the studio

I have had lengthy phone calls to the GG helpline with regards to re-opening the studio. The guidelines we have been told to follow are for out of school settings. Obviously after school and holiday clubs run in a completely different way to us so it has made our return to normal classes impossible at this time. Hopefully this will be relaxed in September

I have attached the links sent by our Association below, but this is the basic guidelines.

Children must be put in bubbles (max 15) 2 meter rule must still be followed so we can only fit around 10 children into each studio so will need to use both studios for our bubbles with a teacher and an assistant.

Teachers/assistance can only teach 1 bubble of children over the whole of the summer. As we only have 6 teachers and 3 assistance available to teach   (and some of these have holidays booked) we would only be able to take a small amount of students back to the studio.

Self employed teachers who would normally work in various settings can only teach in one place with one bubble throughout the summer. This means that other teachers who might normally be called in to help out or take a class are limited to commitments they may already have.

The British Dance Council strongly advises reading the following information provided by the Government. Each dance school, club, business is unique and the guidance and regulations  required for opening needs to be applied individually.  It is also advisable you contact your own local authority for personal guidance if you have questions as each councils rules may differ.
